What we know today as BetVictor, began life several decades ago, with the first pages of the story set in 1925. The Victor Chandler Company itself, wasn’t created until 1946, and it was later on in 1963, that the company focused its attention on betting and gambling. Possibly, because this was the year in which gambling shops became legal in the UK. The company was founded by William Chandler, Victor Chandler Jnr’s grandfather, who was succeeded by Victor’s father, Victor Chandler Senior. It was only when his father dies suddenly in 1974, that the business was taken over by the man who became known as the Gentleman Gambler. While the company has its roots in the UK, Victor junior took the bold move of taking the business offshore and moved headquarters to Gibraltar. It was said this was done to avoid UK gambling tax. But whatever the reason, this is still the location for BetVictor headquarters.
The company has gone through several name changes. In 2004, it became VC Bet, but in 2008 it reverted back to Victor Chandler. Another name was taken in 2012, when it was renamed BetVictor. The company was taken over in 2014, by business and major shareholder of Victor Chandler International, Michael Tabor. The company also has offices in the Far East.
One of the world’s largest operators for sports betting and casino games
With such an impressive history, it’s no wonder BetVictor has been able to make such an impression on the world of online gambling and sports betting. The company claims to have a turnover in excess of £1 billion, and boasts more than half a million customers in more than 160 different countries. The name is also big in sports sponsorship deals and over the years has sponsored the Welsh Open Snooker, World Matchplay Darts, as well as televising a poker tournament called the Victor Chandler Poker Cup. The latest news in the run of sponsorship deals is their partnership with Liverpool Football Club.

BetVictor offers an array of live dealer formats
Live dealer formats are becoming ever popular, but not all online casinos have the time and money to invest in the required large set up costs. The fact that BetVictor has made such an investment is testament to their serious commitment. In complete contrast to other online casinos, BetVictor boasts more than 140 live dealers, spread over four live casino options. Victor’s Live Casino Victor Royale, BV Grand, and the BetVictor Extreme Live Casino with a grand total of 47 tables. There are no other online casinos that offer players such a huge choice.
What about the BetVictor bonuses and promotions?
Other Casinos Reviews
The part of a casino review that interests most readers is the part giving all the details of promotions and bonuses. BetVictor doesn’t need to be flashy with its offers, which some of you may find disappointing, but at least they keep it real. At the time of writing this BetVictor review there is a cash giveaway, with £100,000 up for grabs, over the course of 4 weeks. Also 500 players, selected randomly, get the chance to win a share of £25,000 simply by playing one of their favorite casino games. There is also a ‘Member’s Bonus’ currently running, which is a cashback scheme on any losses. There are slots promos on Tuesdays, and a roulette bonus on Fridays. We actually found the lack of bonuses really rather refreshing, and we’re sure many of you will too.
BetVictor allows complete mobility
Where would many of us be today, without our mobile devices, and how many of you love to play while on the move? BetVictor’s mobile version is just a good as their desktop version. The choice of games is in no way restrictive and it is all well laid out and user friendly.
Fully licensed and trustworthy – BetVictor cares about its customers
BetVictor has long been a name to be trusted, and is fully regulated in the UK and Gibraltar. When researching for our online casino reviews, we always spend some time looking for customer complaints. There aren’t many casinos who have an unblemished record, and BetVictor is no different. However, we found that they always do the best they can to sort out any grievances quickly. And if they can’t come to an agreement are more than happy to use an independent arbitration service.
